The Children’s Wish Foundation expanding its reach to grant more wishes by including children with serious neurologicial and genetic diagnoses such as severe Cerebral Palsy.
The More Wishes, More Wonders campaign launching nation wide today.
Paediatrician Dr. Sarah Gander says now it’s more about how much these illnesses impact the child.
She adds it doesn’t have to be cancer or heart diseasebecause people are dealing with things every day so the need is there.
Gander says wishes are granted for kids between the ages of 3 and 17 but now they are including referrals they used to deny because they weren’t a life-threatening illness.
The Children’s Wish Foundation aims to raise $10 million by the year 2021.
