Nine people have been left homeless after a fire in Fredericton.
The Canadian Red Cross are helping with emergency lodging, food and clothing.
The fire took place in a small, multi-unit apartment building at 380 Charlotte Street.
Three tenants were taken to hospital to be checked out for minor smoke inhalation and were later released.
The fire extensively damaged the building and spread to a neighbouring home on York Street.
The occupants of the home made their own arrangements for a temporary place to stay.
