Riverwatch is keeping an eye on water levels on the St. John river system and predicting things will be stable until Sunday.
In Fredericton, waters receded to the warning level while at Jemseg they exceeded flood stage and should remain above flood stage by Sunday.
At Quispamsis-Saint John, water levels reached the warning level and are forecast to reach the flood stage tomorrow.
Water is creeping over the road in Darling’s Island. The community near Hampton is often a trouble spot for spring flooding.
The province announced in March that a shuttle service from the Department of Natural Resources would not be provided this year citing safety reasons.
Some residents are arranging a private shuttle in case its needed.
