The New Brunswick Police Commission dismissing a complaint filed by Fredericton Police Officer Jeff Smiley of the Fredericton Police Force against Chief Leanne Fitch and seven other members of Fredericton Police.
He accused them of contravening the New Brunswick Police Act but the investigation concluded none of these members conducted themselves inappropriately.
This all began when a domestic assault charge was laid against Smiley in February of 2014 before being dismissed.
Before that, Smiley received the Star of Courage from the Governor General after saving the life of a 73-year-old woman whose car plunged into the frigid waters of the St. John River in January of 2012.
Smiley claims an attempt has been made to get him to leave the Fredericton Police Department.
