In the Major League playoffs, Ben Zobrist hit a two run homer off knuckleballer R.A. Dickey’s fourth pitch of the game and Alex Rios connected an inning later as Kansas City romped past the Toronto Blue Jays 14-2 for a three games to one lead in the American League Championship Series. Game 5 goes this afternoon with the Jays starting Marco Estrada.
The New York Mets are one win away from advancing to the World Series after a 5-2 win over the Chicago Cubs to take a 3 games to nothing lead in the National League Championship Series. Daniel Murphy homered in his record tying fifth straight playoff game while Jacob deGrom pitched seven strong innings. Game four will be played tonight.
