A Sussex Corner man is facing multiple charges in connection with several offences in the area.
Officers responded to an ongoing break-in at a business on Leonard Drive in Sussex on Jan. 14.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later released with a future court date.
The same man was taken into custody again on March 31 following a break-in at an O’Connell Avenue residence on March 5.
He was remanded into custody and charged with break and enter on April 7 in connection with that incident.
The accused was released on conditions, including house arrest and wearing an electronic monitoring device.
On Saturday, police were told that the man was allegedly breaching his conditions.
Officers searched a Sussex Corner home on Sunday and seized a loaded handgun, suspected methamphetamine and $5,700 in counterfeit $100 bills.
The man appeared in court on Monday and was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possessing a prohibited or restricted firearm without a licence, unsafe storage of a firearm and possessing counterfeit money.
He was remanded into custody and is due in court for a bail hearing on Thursday.
