Charges have been laid after a missing woman from the Saint John area was found dead.
Sarah Teakles, 26, of Rothesay was reported missing from the Musquash area last Tuesday.
The Major Crime Unit took over the investigation into her disappearance two days later.
Later that day, officers located the woman’s vehicle and her body in Maces Bay “with the assistance of Police Dog Services,” RCMP said in a previous news release.
A 31-year-old man was arrested by the RCMP on Monday. He was already in custody on unrelated matters after being arrested by the Saint John Police Force.
Calvin Burns-Smith is charged with manslaughter and indignity to a dead body.
He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court next Monday.
