It wasn’t the weekend the Halifax Mooseheads wanted.
They’re down 2-0 to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in their second round series, dropping Game 1 4-1 Friday and Game 2 5-0 Saturday.
The underdog Mooseheads have a chance to get back in the series with Games 3 and 4 Tuesday and Wednesday at home.
The Moncton Wildcats took a 2-0 series lead with a pair of weekend wins over Baie-Comeau at Avenir Centre.
They cruised to a 7-0 win Friday night, and held on for a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon.
The series heads to Baie-Comeau for Games 3 and 4 starting Tuesday.
Rouyn-Noranda has taken a 2-0 series lead.
