Charges have been laid following a robbery at a Hampton business which saw an employee pepper-sprayed.
A man entered the Main Street business and stole lottery tickets around 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 5, according to police.
The suspect allegedly pepper-sprayed a worker in the face before fleeing in a white compact four-door hatchback.
Police said the employee was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP later arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the incident.
He appeared in court Thursday and was charged with robbery, disguise with intent and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
The man remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday.
