A new CEO is taking over the Saint John Chamber of Commerce.
Shannon Merrifield will take over the position on Feb. 24.
She has co-chaired the board of the New Brunswick Museum, Co-Founded Fusion Saint John, and is currently the co-director of 100 Women Who Care for the Saint John area.
Most recently, she was the director of operations at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton.
Merrifield is taking over for Tracy Bell, who lead the chamber for a few months before she stepped down in October.
Before Bell, the organization was helmed by David Duplisea, who stepped down in October, 2023. He held the role for 10 years.
