Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for nearly the entire province, except for northwestern regions.
Forecasters calling for between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow beginning late Sunday evening and continuing through Monday morning.
“Gusty northerly winds will develop behind the low and combine with the freshly fallen snow to cause periods of reduced visibility in blowing snow during the day Monday,” said the warning.
Environment Canada advises residents to be cautious and adjust their driving based on changing road conditions.
Meanwhile, an extreme cold warning has been issued for northwestern New Brunswick, including Edmundston, Campbellton and Grand Falls.
Wind chill values as low as -35 to -40 are expected at times between Monday night and Wednesday morning.
