Transit service in uptown Saint John is being reinstated after months of construction.
Saint John Transit said service will resume on King Street and King’s Square North on Monday.
Stops at King’s Square North, King Street and the bottom of King Street (City Hall) will reopen.
Meanwhile, the old stop on Charlotte Street next to the RBC has been permanently closed.
Those riders can go to King and Germain streets or Sydney Street at the Golden Ball, where they will be able to transfer.
North and west bound buses will transfer passengers at King’s Square North. That includes 1W, 3N, 9N, 15W, 20, 21, 23, 33, 35 & 52.
Transfers for south and east bound buses will happen at the stop across from City Hall. That includes 1E, 3E, 9E, 15S & 23.
Riders on Route 21 (South End) will have a new stop on Charlotte Street Between King Street and Princess Street.
Transit routes uptown have been on a detour since late August amid ongoing construction on Charlotte Street.
Temporary stops were set up at two locations — one on Water Street and another on King Street East.
