The Major Crime Unit of the Saint John Police Force is investigating a crash on the west side which left an 18-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews responded on Thursday night just after 8 p.m. to a collision at Fairville Boulevard and Bleury Street.
Police learned a pickup truck heading east on Fairville Boulevard continued straight through the intersection and collided with a sedan that was travelling west on Fairville Boulevard turning left onto Bleury Street.
The 18-year-old driver of the sedan suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in serious condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The Major Crime Unit, Forensic Services and Accident Reconstruction unit were all called to the scene.
Investigators want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash and was in this area at the time.
They are also interested in dashcam or video surveillance of the incident when it happened.
Several people stopped to help before emergency responders arrived.
