There was a heavy police presence in the area of Charlotte Street West and Watson Street in west Saint John on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, at approximately 10:57 a.m., Saint John Police (SJPF) responded to a report that a woman was armed with a firearm on Charlotte Street West.
“While enroute to the scene, it was alleged that the female suspect had struck a 29-year-old man with a vehicle and shot him with a BB gun. He sustained minor injuries,” reads a release from SJPF.
A 50-year-old suspect was later located by police and arrested for assault with a weapon.
Police also learned that another man present at the time of the altercation had allegedly entered into a residence on Charlotte Street West.
The 33-year-old suspect was wanted on outstanding criminal charges of assault with a weapon and breach of a court order.
After some time, a search of the building was conducted, but the suspect was not located. Police continue their search for the 33-year-old man.
