The Give’s new campaign got a strong boost during Thursday’s 10th annual Love Your Hospital Radiothon on Country 94 and 97.3 The Wave
The 12-hour fundraiser raised $351,610 for the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation with donations still coming in.
The money will go toward the $6.2-million campaign to buy the province’s first surgical robot.
The surgical robot, ‘da Vinci’ as its known, would initially be used for urological, cardiac and, gynecological cancer surgeries, but can be expanded for use in a wide range of procedures.
