Public Health reported another person who had COVID-19 in New Brunswick has died.
A person 90 and older from the Edmundston region passed away.
A total of 259 people have now died in the province since the pandemic began.
There are 159 people in hospital with the virus, which is a decrease of three from Saturday.
ICU admissions have not changed and remain at 17, while nine patients require a ventilator.
A total of 399 healthcare workers are isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
Public Health identified 154 new cases on Sunday, based on PCR testing data. Of these new cases, 54 are in the Moncton region, and 35 are in the Saint John region.
Public Health also reported 394 positive rapid tests.
The rate of new PCR cases is 14.6 per 100,000 for those considered “protected” – having received their second dose within six months and/or have received their booster dose – and 31 per 100,000 for those with partial or no protection.
Of those currently in hospital, the rate is 39.4 per 100,000 for those considered protected and 114.5 per 100,000 for those with partial or no protection.
Among those in the ICU, the rates are 8.1 per 100,000 for those considered protected and 37.3 per 100,000 for those with partial or no protection.
Across the province, 92.3 per cent of the eligible population has received their first dose, 85.3 per cent has received two doses, and 46.3 per cent has received a booster.
