There was a temporary overnight on-street parking ban issued for North, East and West areas of the City due to a winter storm.
The City of Saint John issued the ban from midnight to 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
During that time, a spokesperson from the city confirmed 86 tickets were issued, and no vehicles were towed.
Meantime, after another significant snowfall, public works crews cleared snow throughout the city.
“Their efforts are focused and continuous, based on priority routes. We thank the public for their cooperation and patience as we work around-the-clock to clear all areas across the city,” reads a release.
“Residents can help and are encouraged to continue to park off street when possible and follow parking restrictions,” continued the release.
The City of Saint John is also reminding residents that it is important to keep children away from snowbanks near roads and sidewalks when plows or snow removal equipment are operating.
