A winter storm brought a blast of snow, wind, and cold temperatures Friday night and into Saturday morning.
As of 10 a.m., Environment Canada reported on its website Moncton received roughly 34 cm of snow, while 11 cm dropped on Saint John.
The weather agency also reported that the wind speed in Saint John gusted up to 85 km/h, while it gusted to 67 km/h in Moncton and the Fredericton airport.
For Saturday, Environment Canada called for wind, the temperature falling to minus 17, a wind chill of minus 30, and a risk of frostbite for most of southeastern New Brunswick.
As of 10:30 a.m., according to NB Power, there were nearly 900 customers without power in St. Martins and the surrounding area.
Saint John Energy did not report any outages.
