A former mayor and councillor is running for a seat on town council again in Grand Bay-Westfield.
Ed Kelly has a big list of financial, infrastructure and service-oriented goals for if he joins council.
Kelly wants to review recreation services, the cost of garbage collection and annual cleanup and the reporting system on snow removal.
He said he wants to set up task forces for downtown development and a new school.
One of Kelly’s priorities is to increase housing, especially for seniors.
His financial plans include zero-based budgets and a tender on all purchases.
Kelly wants a 10-year plan for street and sidewalk upgrades as well as task forces for downtown development and a new school.
He is a local business owner and a charter member of the local Kiwanis Club.
