A local businesswoman has put her name forward for town council in Rothesay.
Lorraine Peters is looking to fill one of seven seats around the town’s council table.
“I’m ready to work hard for our shared values,” Peters said in a news release.
Peters is the owner of a modelling agency and personal development academy in uptown Saint John.
She said she is committed to the longevity and health of Rothesay’s residents and businesses.
Her approach, she said, includes supporting the town’s active, age-friendly lifestyle, and making Rothesay a “one-stop-shop” for retail and dining.
“What I love about the community of Rothesay is it knows exactly who it is and what direction it wants to go,” said Peters. “I’m proud to be part of this vibrant community. To have the opportunity to serve Rothesay, its residents and businesses would be an honour.”
Voters will elect a new council on May 10.
