A young entrepreneur is hoping to join Quispamsis council for the next four years.
Noah Donovan has announced he is seeking one of seven council seats in the town.
The 22-year-old entrepreneur, who created Port City Candy Co., said he wants to bring representation for all to the council table.
“I may be a candy maker, but I won’t sugarcoat anything. Quispamsis needs a younger voice capable of bringing forward innovative ideas,” Donovan said in a news release.
Donovan said he believes youth engagement is critical to the town’s growth, and he feels he can encourage that engagement.
Some of his priorities include affordable housing, sustainable development, enhancements of municipal infrastructure, and a thorough review of how the town’s assets are being utilized.
Quispamsis residents will elect seven councillors and a mayor when they head to the polls on May 10.
