The entire province of New Brunswick is currently under a burn ban.
All Crown land is closed to industrial and recreational activities due to extremely dry conditions and the public is encouraged to stay out of the woods on private land.
Natural Resource Minister Mike Holland says hazard levels in some regions of the province are the highest they have ever seen.
Holland says forests are tinder dry and right now even the smallest spark could ignite a major wildfire
He says even the heat coming off the bottom of a vehicle while you are driving through the woods could ignite a blade of grass.
Dry conditions this spring have resulted in a busy forest fire season.
So far this year, a total of 263 wildfires have been registered, compared to the 10-year average of 158.
Current burning restrictions are available online and updated daily at 2 p.m.
