The New Brunswick SPCA seized 61 dogs in northeastern New Brunswick on Tuesday.
The seizure was the result of an investigation which began last week in Escuminac, about 40 kilometres east of Miramichi.
A release from the New Brunswick SPCA said the investigation involved multiple animal protection officers and SPCA shelters.
At this time, the SPCA is asking residents not to reach out for information on the dogs, and when they will be available for adoption. That information will be made available by the individual shelters at a later date.
