The Reversing Falls Bridge in Saint John will be closed to all traffic for 12 hours starting at 6 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday.
City officials notified the public of the closure in a news release late Thursday afternoon.
They said the sidewalk will remain accessible for pedestrians during this time.
“This closure is required for crews to work efficiently and safely on infrastructure maintenance near the bridge,” said the release.
The bridge will reopen to one lane of traffic at 6 a.m. Friday until Monday morning.
Temporary traffic lights will be installed to allow for alternating east and westbound traffic.
