The town of Quispamsis has set aside about $4.5 million for capital projects in 2020.
Council approved the capital budget Tuesday night as part of its operating budget.
The biggest line item in the budget is nearly $1.3 million for upgrades at Meenan’s Cove.
Other projects include $400,000 for the roundabout at Squire Drive and Route 119, $370,000 for phase four of work on the Gondola Boulevard corridor, $200,000 for storm sewer work on Cedar Ridge Boulevard, and $185,000 for capital repairs at the qplex and Quispamsis Memorial Arena.
More than $1.2 million has been budget for repairing and paving portions of several streets, including Bradley Lake Road, Model Farm Road, Coventry Crescent, Greenwood Drive, Ritchie Lane, Gondola Boulevard, Hughes Crescent, Brook Street, Jasper Drive, Colton Brook Road and Scarlet Drive.
Town council also approved nearly $2.5 million for the utility capital budget.
It includes $1.9 million for phase one of upgrades to the Gondola Point wastewater pumping station, $450,000 for the Sunset Drive/Haven Court water expansion, $100,000 for utility building interior costs, and $48,000 for a replacement utility truck.
