A popular singer from the 80s has died after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Marie Frederiksson, who is the lead singer for Roxette, passed away Monday according to a statement from her managers.
She was 61 years old.
Frederiksson was diagnosed with a severe brain tumour in 2002, which she recovered from following aggressive treatment.
She returned to performing in 2009. But by 2016, her doctors advised her to stop touring in order to take care of her health.
Some of the band’s popular songs include “The Look,” “Listen to your Heart,” and “Fading Like a Flower.”
