MADD Canada wants everyone to to make smart decisions as they celebrate this Canada Day long weekend.
The advocacy group says that planning a safe ride home before you head out is something everyone should do.
MADD Canada CEO Andrew Murie tells us that if everyone plans ahead for a sober ride home, the hundreds of deaths and tens of thousands of injuries due to impaired driving that occur annually can be prevented.
He adds that driving impaired is never worth the risk, and reminds everyone to never ride with someone who is impaired by drugs or alcohol.
