Frank Bartley of the Saint John Riptide has been named the NBL Canada Rookie of the Year this season.
Bartley proved himself to be a top scorer, leading the Riptide in scoring in 17 separate games. He also played on the starting line-up for 35 of 39 games.
His scoring average of 19.3 points per game which ranks him 8th overall in the league. He also ranked 3rd for total points scored this season, with 753 points.
Bartley also earned Player of the Week honours twice during the regular season.
In a team statement on the award, Riptide head coach Nelson Terroba called Bartley “a consistent scoring presence,” adding Bartley has a bright future in basketball.
