A stop sign at the Ferry Point Bridge Border Crossing in St.Stephen/Calais is being called controversial, to say the least.
This after an RCMP blitz last weekend nabbed 22 drivers for running through the sign.
Chris Bernardini is from Calais, Maine and says the sign and that blitz are becoming the talk of the area.
“It’s on the left-hand side of the road inside of the right side and the sign is at a crosswalk because there is a crosswalk sign above the stop sign but it is up fairly high, the crosswalk is not painted so it is not something you would know about” stated Bernardini.

Bernardini says ” My wife had put a Facebook post out and it got close to 400 shares on the post, a friend of mine had just received a ticket about ten minutes prior and my wife tried to call me to warn me on my way back”.
Bernardini says there are several tickets that will be fought in court.
