A lack of power in some areas of the uptown core making for a challenging Monday morning when everyone is a little more tired than usual.
The lights went out about 9:15 this morning and most of the electricity has been restored.
We are currently experiencing an unplanned outage in the uptown area. Approx 1000 customer are affected west of Charlotte Street. Crews are on their way to investigate. Cause to be determined.

It was another haphazard outage with businesses on King Street and the City Market without power but Brunswick Square and the Shops of City Hall had power.

After some switching, all power was restored just after 11 a.m.
The cause of the outage was a failed connection on a high voltage cable in a vault at the corner of King and Germain streets.
Power should be restored to all customers affected by this morning’s uptown outage. Thank you
