The Q League rivalry between Saint John and Moncton will be on display tonight as the two teams tangle in the special anniversary contest at Harbour Station.
Q League president Gilles Courteau is in the Port City to meet with community leaders and fans as the Q celebrates its 50th anniversary.
It’s been a great meeting. Thank you for your time @dondarlingSJ and I really appreciate your support to the Sea Dogs and by the way you look good with the President Cup and Memorial Cup trophies https://t.co/NM8p1UDx4X

He tells us one of the biggest improvement in the league is the school bursary program for the players.
“Each and every player is getting a maximum of $6,000 a year for four years, $24,000. It’s something we are very proud of and one of the biggest improvements in our league.” Courteau says.
Fans can get their picture taken with the President’s Cup and the Memorial Cup at tonight’s game between the Sea Dogs and the Wildcats.
The puck drops at 7 p.m. at Harbour Station.
