The Police in Saint John are warning store owners or retailers to keep a close eye out for some phony $100 Canadian polymer bills.
They are said to be poor quality and are likely altered practice money which would have had Chinese characters on them.
The transparent portion of the polymer strip has actually been taped on to the practice money.
Police are telling store owners to be extra careful when receiving cash at this time of the year and to examine it to make sure it is real.
