It could be days before all of the victims names in this week’s deadly van attack are released.
Ontario’s Chief Coroner says they don’t want to rush the process, and that is why names of the victims have not been released yet.
Dr. Dirk Huyer was asked whether this has anything to do with identification errors made in the Humboldt Broncos crash.
He says because of the number, and the extent of their injuries, it is very challenging, “Many people who die within a complex situation such as this, and many who are injured, it is very challenging, and we are very careful. We use a scientific method so there won’t be any potential confusion.”
Toronto police have charged Alek Minassian with 10 counts of first degree murder, and 13 counts of attempted murder. It is expected a 14th count will also be laid.
