Kennebecasis Valley High won the 2016 National Reach for the Top Championship over Eric Hamber Secondary School of Vancouver in the final after coming back from a 110 point deficit.
The Vancouver school took a quick 70 point lead at the start and led by 110 points before the Crusaders rallied and pulled away in the third round.
The win represents the third National Championship for K-V-H-S in the last six years, having also won in 2010 and 2011.
Sam Cookson was honoured for the second consecutive year by being named to the four player tournament all-star team. Besides Cookson, who is captain, the other team members are Clint Ashe, Andrew Hirtle, Bill O’Connor, Ryan Queen, Andrew Thistle and coach Jason Thorne.
The team will arrive at the Saint John Airport at 11:40 this morning.
