A decision about whether or not to grant Dennis Oland bail pending the outcome of his appeal is expected to be delivered Wednesday afternoon in Fredericton.
Submissions from the defence and prosecution were delivered on Friday in the capital city to Justice JC Marc Richard. If the 48-year-old Oland was released on bail, the prosecution would be looking for a total of $400,000 from two sureties — his mother Connie Oland and his uncle Derek Oland, executive chairman of Moosehead Breweries.
Oland was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday without the possibility of parole for at least 10 years for killing his father, high-profile businessman Richard Oland, back in 2011.
