Now that we’ve got some snow back on the ground the Kennebecasis Regional Police issuing some safety tips when it comes to winter driving.
Police are reminding you to test your battery and electrical system before of the drain of heating your car, using your windshield wipers and more. You should also stock your car with certain items including a snow brush and ice scraper, collapsable shovel, a first aid kit, sunglasses and jumper cables.
And here’s a very timely tip—if at any point while driving you think it’s too dangerous outside don’t risk continuing, instead, pull pull and wait until the weather passes or until you feel ready to drive again. Or, if you’re at home, just stay there.
Police also saying you should be checking your coolant because if it’s not mixed correctly it could freeze and damage your radiator or engine.
