Backpacks For Homeless is once again taking place this year.
The organization originated here in Saint John and volunteer Noah Donovan says the goal is to get donations to pack various items in book bags to give to those struggling on the streets.
Donovan says personal items like gift cards, shampoo, deodorant would be great items to donate.
His says the items are given to the Saint John Police and they distribute the bags to those less.
The deadline to donate is the middle of November.
Donovan says the goal is to have 100 backpacks this year.
