The Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick is partnering up with Ego Studio in Moncton to promote mental health initiatives.
CMHA Operations Manager Kristen Barnes says Ego Studio are helping further the conversation about mental health, and raise awareness for suicide prevention.
“They’ve reached out to us and have agreed to offer a $10 donation to CMHA every time someone has a semicolon tattoo done through their company,” says Barnes.
Barnes says the semicolon tattoo is an increasingly popular movement aimed at those living with mental illness, addiction, self-injuring behaviours, and suicide survivors.
A semicolon is used when an author could have ended a sentence but chose not to.
She adds the author in this case is you, and the sentence is your life.
