A class action lawsuit against medical marijuana producer Organigram has now been expanded…
The suit was filed in March alleging that the company used products containing pesticides that were harmful to its clients…
Lawyer at Halifax-based Wagners Law, Maddy Carter says it now has several clients who claim they suffered negative health effects after consuming the products, “We were requesting relief in the form of a return of the money that the people spent on the recalled product, but we have expanded the suit to now seek compensation for physical effects that they have suffered as a consequence.”
The side effects include vomiting, dizziness and nausea.
The products were produced between February and December of 2016 and have since been recalled.
The case will have to be approved by the court. This is expected to happen in June next year, and from there it will be decided whether or not it should proceed to trial.
