Tips from the public helped to catch a couple robbery suspects in St. Stephen.

RCMP say they arrested 23 year old Thomas Joseph Moore and 20 year old Jasmine Dee Marie Clifford on Monday, following a police investigation.

Sgt. Peter Stubbs with the West District RCMP said, "Information from the public helped police with this investigation. I'd like to thank residents for their ongoing support."

Moore and Clifford were both in Saint John Provincial Court and charged with robbery and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Last Monday, January 23rd, police were called to Riverside Grocery on Milltown Blvd, after a man and woman, both armed with knives with bandanas covering their faces, demanded money from the clerk.

They have been remanded into custody and are scheduled back in court Thursday, February 2, at 11am.
