We could know by the March break what the name of the new school on the city's west side will be.
A naming committee received over 400 submissions from the public including the school communities of Havelock, Seawood and St. Patrick's.
Anglophone South superintendant Zoe Watson says the naming committee will narrow the 400 down to three.
"The committee will put forward to the DEC at their January meeting...three names that will be discussed in the private session of the council and then they put those names forward to the minister," says Watson.
The provincial Education minister makes the final decision on the new school's name.
