The Saint John Airport has set a new all-time record for total monthly passengers.
A total of 31,856 people flew via the airport in August — an increase of 17 per cent compared to the same month in 2017.
It also marked the eighth consecutive month the airport has exceeded passenger traffic results versus the same month in the prior year.
In a statement, president and CEO Derrick Stanford said they are well on their way to hitting their goal of 300,000 passengers in 2018.
Officials say the extra growth is due to more flights and boosted capacity by Air Canada and Porter Airlines.
