The new owners of the Saint John City Hall building have some very big plans for the Uptown tower.
This is exciting news for the future of City Hall and Saint John. We are a City that is open for business, and what better way to show that than the redevelopment of an iconic building in our urban core. https://t.co/col1e7WPts pic.twitter.com/nbujrzQum3

Keith Brideau, along with Dr. David Elias and Alex Elias has purchased the building and Brideau tells our newsroom, the first phase is a major overhaul of City Hall starting with a meeting on Thursday.
“We are going to meet with city staff and the designer and we will discuss the plan and discuss their design and start to assemble our construction crew and probably start construction as soon as January, stated Brideau.
The first phase, expected to wrap up by the end of 2019, will see all city hall operations put on the first four floors.
He says that will free up 80,000 to 100,000 square feet which they hope to eventually fill with high-quality tenants.
