The provincial government will be working with Ottawa when it comes to litigation over what they both consider unfair duties by the U.S. government on softwood lumber exports from Canada.

Energy and Resource development minister Rick Doucet says the forestry sector is facing some difficult times.

Doucet says legal action has been required in the past and this time they will be doing the same thing adding it's important that it be resolved.

The government has come up with measures to protect and promote the forestry sector and they include
working with the industry to find new export markets and reduce our reliance on trade with the United States.
