Grand Bay-Westfield Fire Chief Troy Gautreau tells us what he experienced.
“We received multiple calls to our station and we responded to one emergency call that turned out to be unfounded, people across the community felt a few moments of shaking and heard a very loud bang,” says Gautreau.
He says they were in the fire station and heard a loud bang and at first thought a truck had slammed into their building.
Our newsroom had calls come in from Saint John, Grand Bay-Westfield and the surrounding areas about what caused the loud noise and shaking.
