No one will be looking for the ace of spades this week.
Officials with the Fundy Region Transition House have decided to postpone the local lottery until next week due to the latest Nor'easter, which is expected to make driving conditions difficult.
In a Facebook post, the Transition House says, "It was not easy to cancel the game for March 14th, and we appreciate the fact that people respect our decision. There are so many factors we considered, and safety for volunteers and players takes priority! After reviewing everything, this was the best decision for our community."
The past few weeks, there have been thousands of people coming to St. Stephen for a chance to win the big pot, that includes several buses bringing people from as far away as Sussex.
The St. Stephen Chase The Ace will be held next Wednesday, March 21st.
The pot is $280, 547 and there are only two cards left in the deck.
